I’ve received details of the Youth Opportunity Fund for projects in Wirral that provide activities and projects for young people. There are two types of application:
Youth Opportunity Fund – £100,000
The money in this fund is for leisure time activities and projects for young people aged 13-19
· Youth Capital Fund – £182,100
This money is for capital items such as doing up buildings, buying larger items of equipment, youth shelters and mobile units. Applications for this fund must be for a minimum of £6,000 and benefit young people aged 13-19

It seems that Fort Perch Rock is a bit of a hive of activity at the weekends. Not only are they a museum housing several exhibitions including Second World War aviation archaeology, Luftwaffe over Merseyside and Blitz exhibition and the only ‘Elvis Meets the Beatles’ and Merseybeat Exhibition, but they have various live entertainment events in the evenings.
