Leasowe Common – have YOUR say
I’ve posted before about the sad state of Leasowe Common – litter, neglect and dog mess left for someone else to clean up. This Wednesday, the Action Team has arranged for the whole subject to be discussed at the Area Forum.
Anyone is entitled to attend and ask questions of the Council officer who will explain the Council’s management of this important local amenity. The Forum meets at Leasowe Millennium Centre, Twickenham Drive, Leasowe at 7pm on Wednesday 21 February.
LOCAL TALENT SOUGHT FOR POPULAR VARIETY SHOW

Act One Productions are looking for singers, dancers and other acts of entertainment from all age groups. Birkenhead Park – what a change!
We took our children to Birkenhead Park on Sunday. Wow, what a change. It’s looking great. We went to the playground area and it would seem that it is being rebuilt and even though it is not finished, parents were taking their children onto some of the new play equipment. It just shows how much used and needed the play area is. The new equipment looks fabulous, attractive, different and interesting. We look forward to seeing it complete and taking our children again.
If you haven’t been to the park for a while, like we hadn’t, it is definately worth a visit.
Thank you!
On Saturday I organised a litter pick at the car park of Leasowe Station. We filled 11 bags with litter (some of it too disgusting to mention) and cleaned up the car park. We’ve asked Merseytravel to make sure the litter doesn’t built up again and a couple of litter bins would be helpful!
Blogging and the world
We noticed today that we have been linked to from a community block in Brooklyn Heights USA!!!! You put these blogs out there, never really knowing who is going to read them (if anyone) and find someone thousands of miles away has had a look and liked it enough to give us a mention. The world really is a small place.
Great News!
Wirral Vocal Workshop found a sponser via our website yourwirral.co.uk. The generous donator is Julie Salvidge, Director of Talk Plus Language Tuition, has agreed to pay for the sweatshirts for the singing youngsters.
Well done Julie and good luck to the group.
