Well, at the Common anyway! This is my first on this great new blog and I’m really pleased to be able to support it. I’ve become a bit of a blogger as you can see here and I’m really keen to see the blogosphere extend across Wirral!
Anyway, the reason for the post! I’ve been asking the Council to look at the whole issues around Moreton and Leasowe commons, whether it’s access (why the gates?), the lack of bins and the tendency by a small minority of dog owners to let their pets poo anywhere. The Council has so far responded by promising extra dog warden patrols (good) but saying they are reviewing their bin policy (not so good).
The Friends of North Wirral Country Park, previously known as Friends of the Gunsite, do a fantastic job of maintaining this whole area and, elsewhere on this blog,you’ll find details of their next clean-up. See you there?
The Wirral Vocal Workshop has been set up to help children gain confidence, skills and friendships through singing. Can anyone help with premises, studio facilities or a bus? They would also appreciate some expert help from a choreographer.
